It starts with a decision to lose weight. Next it dawns upon you that you will have to exercise if you want to achieve fat loss and weight loss. You now have to research the various exercise options available to you. Finally, you have to make your decision about the exercise regimen that you will do and begin it.

To achieve fat and weight loss, you will also need to change your diet.

Experts agree that fat burning exercise has a bigger impact on fat loss and weight loss than diet. This is because when you do regular exercise, you increase your metabolism. An increase in your metabolism will result in more fat burning for you thoughout every day. Also, experts will tell you that you are going to have to make changes to your diet, if fat loss is the outcome that you want.

How Will You Know, If The Exercise You Do Is Burning Fat?
Fat burning exercise is physical activity that you do, in which you exert yourself. What is exertion for me is not necessarily exertion for you. The more fit you are, the greater the rate of activity you will need to do. Fitness trainers provide formulas to work out the right level of exertion for you. But, these formulas can be complex. A simple rule of thumb to guide you on this is the following

  • Are you somewhat out of breath from the activity (not gasping for air)?
  • Is there some perspiration on the small of your back and on the back of your neck?
  • Can you still hold a conversation while exercising?

If you can say yes to all 3, you are probably exerting yourself correctly, for your current level of fitness, and you will burn fat. With increased exercise, comes increased fitness for you. As you become more fit, you will need to increase the rate of your exercise in order to burn fat.

Choosing Your Type Of Exercise?
You can categorize the various forms of exercise as aerobic or anaerobic. The terms aerobic exercise and cardio vascular exercise are interchangeable. Aerobic exercise needs oxygen for energy, whereas anaerobic doesnt.

Aerobic exercise is fat burning exercise because your body uses fat for the energy it needs. While doing anaerobic exercise, your body does not use fat for its energy. During anaerobic exercise, your body gets its energy from carbohydrates.

Aerobic exercise can be enjoyable for you if you like to jog, swim, bike ride or walk rapidly. Examples of anaerobic exercise are strength and resistance training or running a 100 meter or 200 meter race etc. Football can be aerobic and anaerobic: when you see a kickoff returned for 100 yards it is anaerobic, but a 10-20 yard run or pass play is probably aerobic. You will be exerting yourself completely for a period of time. When you are doing that, it is anaerobic. You get an aerobic benefit, when you are using less exertion.

Thirty minutes of aerobic exercise done every day, will burn unwanted fat from your body. If you want faster fat burning, do it twice a day for 30 minutes or once a day for 45 minutes.

You will burn more fat, if you increase the size of your muscles through strength training - a type of anaerobic exercise. More muscle mass means a higher metabolic rate. Fat burning will increase, when you raise your metabolic rate. When doing anaerobic exercise, you do not burn fat. When you exercise aerobically will result in fat loss.

Do You Want To See Less Fat On Your Body When You Look At A Mirror?
You really do not have a choice about whether or not to exercise; you must exercise for fat loss to occur. If you fail to do this, you wont achieve your outcomes for fat reduction and weight management. You will need to change your mindset about using your body increasingly for the rest of your life.

To begin with, look for opportunities to walk up the stairs instead of using the escalator. Try parking your car further from your destination and give yourself a longer walk to where you are going. Each day, you can do more walks with your dog than you have been doing. Increase your physical activity, by finding things to do that are out of the ordinary for you.

There is just one last thing for you to do now; make a decision on the exercise program you will follow and begin it.

What Fat Burning Exercise Regimen Will You Do?
